Business Development Manager - NDIS

Nexus Disability Support Services is a leading provider of high-quality support services for individuals with disabilities. We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Business Development Manager to join our team and drive the growth of our NDIS (National Disability Insurance Scheme) services. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in business development, excellent relationship-building skills, and a deep understanding of the NDIS framework. This role will be instrumental in expanding our client base, forging strategic partnerships, and enhancing our service offerings.

Key Responsibilities:
  • BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT STRATEGY:
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive business development strategy to grow NDIS services.
  • Identify new business opportunities, market trends, and potential areas for service expansion
  • CLIENT ACQUISITION AND RETENTION:
  • Build and maintain relationships with NDIS participants, families, and support coordinators.
  • Conduct presentations and information sessions to promote Nexus Disability Support Services.
  • Manage client onboarding processes and ensure a seamless transition into our services.
  • PARTNERSHIP AND NETWORK BUILDING:
  • Establish and nurture strategic partnerships with healthcare providers, community organizations, and other relevant stakeholders.
  • Attend industry events, conferences, and networking functions to raise the profile of Nexus Disability Support Services
  • MARKET ANALYSIS AND REPORTING:
  • Conduct market research to identify trends, competitor activities, and potential business opportunities.
  • Prepare regular reports on business development activities, progress, and outcomes.
  • SERVICE DEVELOPMENT AND IMPROVEMENT::
  • Collaborate with internal teams to enhance existing services and develop new service offerings based on client needs and market demands.
  • Ensure compliance with NDIS regulations and quality standards.
  • TEAM LEADERSHIP AND COLLABORATION:
  • Work closely with the management team to align business development efforts with organizational goals.
  • Provide mentorship and support to junior team members involved in business development activities.
  • QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Health Services, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in business development, preferably within the disability sector.
  • In-depth knowledge of the NDIS and its operational framework.
  • Strong network within the disability support services industry.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM software.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Disability Support Worker

The NDIS Workforce Capability Framework describes this role as a General Support Worker for services funded under the NDIS. Persons working within this role are responsible for using the strategies determined in the participant's support plan.

All practices are participant-focused and promote their choices, rights and decisions. Due to the variable nature of participants, this role requires the worker to promote participants' voices, choices and report any areas of concern. The participant is at the centre of all practices. The disability support worker must apply the Child Safe Standards in their practices.

Workers are required to follow all policies and procedures and report to management:
  • feedback from participants (positive, constructive and complaints)
  • changes in participant circumstances or environment
  • work health and safety issues and concerns
  • if you think that the participant is experiencing discrimination, exploitation, neglect, abuse or violence
  • need for resources to undertake the role
  • when unsure of appropriate practices
  • when unsure of actions that should be undertaken
  • stressed or anxious feelings
